Stainless steel refers to the steel corrosive medium and acid, alkali, salt and other chemical etching medium corrosion resistance of air, steam, water, weak, also known as stainless acid resisting steel. Stainless steel is stainless steel, corrosion resistance as the main characteristics, and the content of chromium is at least 10.5%, the maximum carbon content of no more than 1.2% of the steel. In practical application, it is often used to be resistant to corrosion medium corrosion of steel called stainless steel, and will be resistant to chemical corrosion of steel called acid proof steel. Because of the differences in chemical composition between the two, the former is not necessarily a chemical resistant medium corrosion, while the latter is generally not rust. The corrosion resistance of stainless steel depends on the alloy elements in the steel.
